Baby shower

My work crew threw a wonderful baby shower for us this week, and we had wonderful food and presents and company. It was very sweet and gave Hunahpu a chance to bond with all my office friends.

As you can see from his gesturing, we've started serious study of magical arts already, and he's doing really well!

Brain-fry

Stir-frying has been doing wonders for our dinner, but brain-frying has made our writing lag a bit.

Since blogging has been too mentally challenging, instead I will be silly about Hunahpu.

He often gets all filmic.

Occasionally he practices magic.

Sometimes it's just 100% adorably crazy.

Very advanced

Hunahpu already shows facility with very advanced technology.

Also, he's adorable when half asleep.

Eternal Struggle

This post is not about vampires, but instead about pirates and ninjas.

Some have theorized as to the nature of individual offspring, before their birth, and to which clan they will belong. The service to this higher calling is lifelong and VRY SRS.

There is no longer any doubt in our family.

Our little bretteur truly rocks the imported stylings provided by his beloved great-aunt, as he sleeps the afternoon away.

But he won't see it for a while, so I must share it with you all.

Sometimes, especially because I'm dad, it feels like Hunahpu really only cares for one thing while he's awake.

Day 4 update

We're so proud of our little one, he can now turn his head side to side. This makes sleeping and burping easier. So far our tag-team diaper changing has been working well, but I'm still the undisputed king of burping and swaddling.

In other news, Hunahpu is planning to take over the world. Or something.
