Happy Half Birthday

Six months old! To celebrate we had a book-themed half-birthday dinner, with reading aloud at the table. The meal included chicken soup with rice (from the Maurice Sendak book Chicken Soup with Rice), a big leafy salad and lots of other items from The Very Hungry Caterpillar, green eggs and ham (from Green Eggs and Ham, of course) and a Cat in the Hat hat cake. The hat cake even lived up to the chaotic spirit of Thing 1 and Thing 2 and toppled over long before dessert!
Finally, the humans will outnumber the felines!
